Leadership Berkeley Class Completes Service Project and Announces 2025 Applications
(Berkeley County, SC) – The Berkeley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that this year’s Leadership Berkeley class has successfully completed their class service project. The project exemplifies the class’s dedication to community enrichment and their commitment to making a positive impact in Berkeley County. This year’s class partnered with Unity Bay, an organization that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to organize a Supply Drive benefiting over 250 individuals. Unity Bay empowers these adults by providing services that promote independence and help them develop interpersonal and professional skills. Through their efforts, over 1600 essential items such as personal hygiene products, small fidget toys, and other necessities were collected to empower individuals to live more independently. Additionally, the project raised awareness for Unity Bay’s Building Renovation Fund, further enhancing facilities for program participants. The project also included a holiday party and festive event for the Unity Bay clients, providing them with an opportunity to celebrate the season in a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.
